Welcome to Elsie A.Hastings Elementary School

Principal

Dear Hastings School Families,

As the season of giving comes upon us, the students at Hastings School are learning about and practicing giving of themselves through community service. Second graders visited residents of The Highlands, brought centerpieces, and sang Thanksgiving-themed songs on Monday, November 20. Students in Kindergarten created Thanksgiving placemats for the Westborough Senior Center, and delivered them, along with songs and good cheer, on Tuesday, November 21.

Another way Hastings School is serving our community is by participating in the district-wide food drive for the Westborough Food Pantry, organized by WHS student Abigail McLucas. Abigail and her brother AJ came to our school meeting this month to talk with students about the importance of community service. Third graders worked with their preschool friends to make posters to display in our school to help bring awareness about the food drive. Second graders made flyers to send home. The food drive will run from November 27-December 8. A collection table is located in the Hastings lobby. Thank you for participating! More...
