What is HPG?
The Hastings Parent Group is an organization made up of parent volunteers, Principal D’Agata, and teacher volunteers. We serve as a vehicle for communication, service, and parental involvement with Hastings Elementary School. As a group, we work together with the school administration and staff to support the Hastings Community. We raise funds for enrichment programs for the students. We also coordinate volunteers for fundraising venues and events at the school.
Why do we raise money?
Unfortunately, enrichment programs ARE NOT included in the “standard” budget. The money we raise brings enrichment programs to Hastings for ALL STUDENTS, and also helps to support teachers and staff with extra requests. Enrichment programs consist of subsidizing field trips and travel costs for buses, bringing in different authors to present and work with the students, and hosting school community events, to name a few. Our work is important for supporting the students, teachers, and staff.

Come to our HPG meetings! We hold monthly meetings on Zoom where we update parents on school goings-on and plan upcoming events!
