What is a School Council?
A school council is a representative advisory group that collaborates in planning for and implementing school improvement. It is a form of site-based management that places the school at the center of planning, goal setting, and budgeting for improvement.
A school council meets regularly to accomplish the following goals:
- assist in the identification of the educational needs of the students attending the school,
- adopt educational goals for the school,
- assist in the review of the annual school budget,
- formulate an annual school improvement plan
The 2025-2026 School Council is forming for the new year! If you are interested in serving on our council, please write a brief nomination statement and email it to Julia D’Agata at dagataj@westboroughk12.org.
