HPG - Hastings Parent Group

Who is HPG?

We are a group of parent volunteers who work to support the Hastings community, including the administration and staff.  We seek to create a strong community for parents and students, and coordinate school-wide events, fundraisers and enrichment activities for grades K-3.  

What are some of our fundraisers?

Our fundraisers include Book fair, Spirit wear sale, various restaurants nights, Fun Run/Dance Day, Winter Festival, and Field Day.  We also raise funds through rewards programs such as Stop & Shop A+ Rewards program, Box Top collection for which there is a new app to use now, and Amazon Smile! These are easy ways to donate to our parent group and build funds so that we can carry out enrichments programs for your student.  Due to restrictions this year 2020-21, we will not be able to hold any gatherings or in-person events.  



What are some of our enrichment activities that we fund?

Again, this year may look different as far as events that can be safely carried out.  Normally we host events such as Literacy day, Plymouth Plantation trips, and music night. We provide the funds to pay for bus transportation for field trips.  We also provide teacher appreciation meals a few times a year.  This year we were able to help fund the recess bags that all students received.  

How can you become involved in HPG?

Everyone is welcome to join us!  We are a volunteer group and our doors are always open to you.  Please join our meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm, on Zoom.
